Hrothgar and Spartan claw their way up the slick mucusy slope. Deeper in the cavern the slope starts to level out and there are five sections of wall that appear to be thinner than the rest and you can make out other areas beyond.

"i hope they make it. We need them to take out the heart"

Where should we go? We could keep going through the passage and come out of it's nose? It'd probably be more effective to fight it from within.

yes we should definatly stay within the beast, rather than risk falling to our deaths outside. Perhaps if we go through the eye cavity, we could access the brain that way.

That sounds good but which way to the eyes?

The passage in front of you leads down and one of the weakened points is above it. The others are spaced out evenly around.

i believe the two outer passages go towards the ears so i think we sould head down one of the two passages between the outer ones and the centre one

Hroth cuts through the left eye passage and moves boldly onward.

i think we should avoid damaging the beast until we reach the brain. that way, we have the element of surprise

Following the narrow path beyond you see long sinewey tendrils that snake along the walls. After a short distance you see a giant one growing from the floor attached to a large sphere. Inside is a massive focussing lens.

We should stay away from the front of the eye and refrain from cutting it's eyes out, unless we are attacked. We should be able to follow that big nerve to the brain

You know the nerve leads to the brain but it just goes down into the ground. You are pretty sure it would go past the intersecting cavern you were in before, probaby through the passage above the nostral.

You also know the smaller nerves in the walls also lead to the brain and are used as pain recievers and to transmit information to and from the brain.

if we cut those pain nerves, will they send a signal?

I'm not sure, Possibly. I think we should try to peek out of the eye-lid and see what's out there. Or maybe go to the brain first.

no, leave the lid. waking the beast will make our life difficult. we must make haste to the brain before the others wake the beast themselves. Perception check +1 looking for an exit towards the brain.

You see that the nerves on the walls are pulsating with life and as you head back you notice that they continue all the way through the whole area. You are surprised that you didn't notice it before.

It's back the way we came. I'm sure of it. We'll have to climb over the nostril hole and cut through the middle passage back at that intersection.

"Alright then, lets head back that way then" Spartan boldly leads the two back into the first chamber. "it looks like we'll need to climb to get up there, got any climbing gear?"

Hroth ties a rope to an arrow and fires it above the thin fleshy barrier. He shimmies up it and slices a clean, door shaped opening.
