You hear a wet squelching sound followed by a mechanical hum.

An opening appears in the wall nearby leading to what looks like a small metal box.

The corpse of an adventurer of some kind floats past as the wizard you are standing on vanishes, dumping you unceremoniously back into the acid. You see he has teleported himself inside the hatch leaving you to fend for yourself.

I jump on a piece of debris acting as a raft and use another piece to paddle my way there. I also let loose an acid orb at the namsy eladrin jerk.

d10+5 damage if hit

You get to the hatch and climb inside. The Eladrin's face is a black cartooney caricature because of your attack and small tufts of smoke rise from his body.

"Oh by the way I found this on one of the bodies you ignored." He says and shows you an odd looking map of some kind with ticks and crosses marked on it in red before shoving you back into the acid with a sharp push and laughing at your misfortune.

Attack roll to grab his collar and pull him in.

You successfully pull him into the acid and start to wrestle furiously beneath the surface.

I pull out my sword and pin him on a wall with my blade on his neck.

What the hell are you guys doing down there? I heard magic and splashing...

*Shouting without taking my gaze away from the wizard* We have a problem, Hrothgar, the namsy eladrin tried to kill me!

I never tried to kill you. It was a mere... spur of the moment type thing. You attacked me first, I have every right to attack you back.

Whatever, just get up here fast, the hatch will close soon to stop it from being disolved by the stomach acids.

You ignored our problem from the start reading your book. Then you teleported away from under me dropping me in acid...

*moves blade closer to his neck*

...then pushed me into the acid again... my attack was retaliation when you dropped me into acid the first time.

*sheathes sword and splashes into the hatch*

"I'm going back to my book."

The Eladrin entered the hatch again, back to reading his book.
