A Disturbing Revelation
As the massive beasts fall to the soft wet ground, adding to the substantial collection of corpses that surround our brave adventurers, the putrid smell of rotting flesh becomes overbearing.
Among the remains are a longsword +1, some gem stones and a large shield.

Re: A Disturbing Revelation
Hrothgar picks up the sword.
Turning the sharp new blade over in his hands he smiles in approval at the sword's balance and accuracy but is generally dissapointed in it's sharpness and curvature.
Shrugging his shoulders he straps it to his belt above Wedge. "A fine blade...," he murmors to noone in particular, "It could fetch a reasonable price if I decide to part with it."
He turns towards the strange and powerful guardian.
"It would seem I've not been decieved. I heard a man of great power and strength resided here. I'm honoured to have borne witness to your kill. It was a very good kill indeed..."
"However I had heard you were here in defence of a great evil of some kind. Why have you come to our aid? We owe you a great debt of gratitude. These brave fools around me are tasked with finding an object of considerable power. Perhaps you have heard of it and could point us in the right direction?" {Diplomacy = 1d20 + 1}
"But first I suggest we get out of here. I don't like the look of this place, the ground feels like it's....... salivating."

- Code:
(longsword +1 does 1d8 + 1 compared to Biggs doing 1d10 and Wedge doing 1d8 [+1d8 on crit]).

Re: A Disturbing Revelation
Nice, maybe now you can have a decent diplomat back in the team. Always important to have a diplomat.
Zexion
Re: A Disturbing Revelation
Diplomacy is weak. The liar will cheat the diplomat but the blade will silence them both.

Spot check, do I find anything good in the heap? Maybe a bow from an former adventurer? My check is at -1 though.

Re: A Disturbing Revelation
There's nothing else among the corpses, just some decomposing weapons and armour that are of no use to you. They look as though they are being eaten away by an acid of some sort.
Re: A Disturbing Revelation
One of the mutilated human heads, that'll really make a good trophy won't it? A genestealer head of course.
Zexion
Re: A Disturbing Revelation
The head is solidly attached to the rest of the corpse, it's armored exoskeleton making it dificult to even find it's neck.
You start to peel away the layers of carapace and cut at the monster's thick neck.

Re: A Disturbing Revelation
Ha! you didn't even kill the beast and you want its head?? You crazy morbid bastard.
Hrothgar
Re: A Disturbing Revelation
Oh right the little guys, Yeah you have no trouble cutting off one of their heads and stuffing it into your pack.
Re: A Disturbing Revelation
I'll get it stuffed once we're out of the dungeon and then mount it on a wall in my house.

Re: A Disturbing Revelation
You notice that your boots are starting to decompose in the wet slime covering the floor. You cannot stay here for long.
Suddenly and without warning, the ground begins to shift. The cieling near where you fell in starts to descend closing in towards you. As the ground lifts up on a sharp angle it is virtually impossible to keep your footing. A gaping hole yawns open on the far side of the room and you are swept, uncontrollably towards it.
As you slide towards the hole you see a narrow passage leading up and two passages leading down. You are being swept towards the larger of the two lower passages.
You can do nothing to be swept into the largest passage or try an acrobatics check to leap into one of the other two.
